Esquire 78 rpm records (British modern jazz)... |
All Esquire modern jazz was issued with the 10- or 12- prefix number. This represented the size of the record 10inch 78rpm or 12inch 78rpm. From 1954 some of the single releases were also issued in 7inch 45rpm format. Initially traditional and modern jazz was released. Only the British modern jazz releases are listed below, there are missing numbers - I do not know whether every number was used but I suspect not. Further details including band personnels are available by clicking on the links, just make a note of the date and titles and look them up in the discographies. Items listed in red are the label founders own band and are included for a few early numbers. If you have any additions or corrections I would very much appreciate the information. The date shown is the recording date... 10-001
