The National Jazz Archive, located in the county of Essex in England, holds the UK’s finest collection of written, printed and visual material on jazz, blues and related music, from the 1920s to the present day.

Stan Tracey
Three articles by Les Tomkins about Stan Tracey originally published in ‘Crescendo’ can be read on the Archive website.
The first piece details Stan’s successful musical career of over 60 years.
The second features the Stan Tracey Big Band’s classic recording ‘Alice in Jazzland’ from 1966.
In the third, Stan talks about the years he spent as house pianist at Ronnie Scott’s.

Jimmy Deuchar
